Great sled for kids under 12 years old who enjoy the groomed trails of Wisconsin. If it came with a lawn mowing attachment or a plow that would help justify the price.

I rented one for my nine year old son to ride at Eureka, AK. He grabbed one handful of "throttle" and would not touch that POS again. I rallied it while the wife and kid rode the renegades, you could not pay me to take that gutless wonder to the mountains. I have never felt so helpless in the snow. Buy a pair of snowshoes or x-country skis if you want to cover some ground. If you want to snowmachine stick to the tried and true; skidoo, polaris, or arctic cat.

I traded in my 2004 Artic Cat 2ups in hopes of some excitement on these lightweight Phazers.The sleds are a blast when they are not overheating. The truth is my 2007 Phazers have only 45 miles on them of which the dealer put 20! They have been back to the dealership 3 times and I just received them back.Yamaha has put some aftermarket cooling fans and promises that the problem is now solved!! We will see! I will stay optamistic. Seeing all these positive reviews on the Phazer has given me reason to give Yamaha 1 more try. Wish me luck!

Great sled, awesome boondocker.
Only thing it needs is a tad more power, but
for someone who is not looking to get killed
getting to the peak of a mountain, and is looking
to have fun(and lots of it) boon dockin and jumping
this is a great sled.

Awsome sled except the price it could b e a lil lower and great power nice n quiet handling could be better but other wise awsome sled keep up the work yamaha

The only worry I had about the new Phazers was put to rest when I rode one for the first time last night. The power this thing put out is awesome compaired to what I was expecting out of a 4 stroke 500 twin. I liked the the new rider position and where everything was put, this might be influenced by the love I have for sport quads. The suspension is almost to smooth, I took mogals at about 30 mph and didn't feel much beyond the intial launch. This will be great for our older riders. The only complaint I have is the front end is to light, causing cornering to be a challenge. If you stay off the gas in the corners it handles fine, but if you hit the gas the front end lifts up and causes it to push. If you arent used to leaning you might have to if you try to take a sharp corner at high speed, as it will tip for those of you who just sit. All in all I really was impressed with how well it performed considering it is like nothing ever built. You might be able to do some adjusting to put weight on the skis, and if you could I don't see how you wouldn't fall in love with it. And maybe a widening kit for those who like to just sit and ride. One last thing, for those of you who do powder riding or dont like to freeze, order the tall windsheild, it might look goofy but it's kinda cold without one.
