I do not think that the weight is an issue after you throw away the factory exhaust and put a "Thing" on it instead... I do however think that it is a little to wide and takes a hit on the handling because of it. Price you pay for 170HP I guess.

As the previous guy. I've got a 2005 and I love it. It handle great, enourmous power, the only time i've ever been stuck is when I do something REALLY stupid. For my money the 162 is the best sled on the market (and i've ridden nearly all of them).

Based on riding my friends 162 on several occasions, I would have to take a pass on buying my own. I could never really get comfortable on the Ski-Doo. If you are looking for a mountain style sled with plenty of power, better handling and less money, take a look at the Arctic Cat M8 162. That is a much better sled, and you get Arctic Cat's quality to boot.
