Snowmobiles Resources - Snowmobile Participation

With all the web junk floating around on the web, if your interest’s lye in watching snowmobile video or snowmobile video clips you really need to check out youtube.  I’ve seen some insane snowmobile videos available free to download.  There are shots of a snocross race where a rider actually gets landed on by a fellow racer.  Take a look at the snowmobile avalanche video there; it’ll make you think twice about your next high marking adventure.  The majority of video’s available seem to be of snowmobile crashes of some variety.  It’s a little disturbing to me to see people so eager to see their pain and misfortune.  Of course there is the Sledneck snowmobile video phenomenon that has everyone thinking snowmobiles do nothing but jump insane gaps and spark avalanches every time they are unloaded from the trailer.  At any rate there are plenty of snowmobile big air video’s available online.

If you are more interested in snowmobile participation while stuck at home, you need to look at the PS2 Snowmobile video game or the Xbox 360 Snowmobile game.  Of course some would argue that video games are hardly participatory, but when you’re stuck at home on a fresh snow day, snowmobile video games can provide a cheap fix.

Sean: SLEDCREW
Overall, I think SLEDCREW, ( not the sledcrew ) movies are the best. SLEDCREW is not super coorporate like SLEDNECKS, but they do have sponsors like tekvests and stud boy. They are not as good as SLEDNECKS or Rath Films, but there movies are free, and cool. FILMED BY RIDERS, FOR RIDERS. You can even download SLEDCREW go big or go home, which is a full length SLEDCREW movie, and is over 45 minutes long, or get there SLEDCREW III movie which is 20 minutes long and is also free and available for download, check them out at www.sledcrew.com , NOT www.thesledcrew.com ( nothing against THESLEDCREW they are also VERY good )

Johnny Lingo: Movies in general
I'm not really impressed with the direction the whole "sledneck" genre is heading. I personally enjoy, as do all my friends, hi-marking as much as the next guy, but the stunts depicted in these videos is just crazy. How many riders are out there trying back flips with 800lbs snowmobiles. It's just not indicetive of what snowmobiling is all about.
