Enclosed snowmobile trailer
Enclosed Trailers
Trailers have come a long way from being mere slabs with wheels used to transport vehicles and cargo, even snowmobiles. An enclosed snowmobile trailer is now available that features steel and aluminum construction, meaning that it can be light weight and virtually rust free, has a V shaped nose and is completely covered. These fully covered trailers are useful in storing your snowmobile during the seven to nine months it is not in use and keep your precious cargo well protected from the elements. But you have to be aware that storing a sled in enclosed snowmobile trailer in hot climate during the summer will cause more heat damage than when the sled is left outdoors. This is a call you need to make based on where you live and what your options are.

The Aluminum Trailer Company is based out of Nappanee, Indiana and constructs all-aluminum trailers. Their new line is supposed to be for the 'Sport Utility' buyer. Cargo segment carry motorcycles, ATVs, snowmobiles and other equipment, while a comfortable living quarter provides the complete travel solution. Bearcat is an OEM that has been well known in the aluminum equipment industry since 1971. Featherlite is one of the older enclosed snowmobile trailer manufacturers. For the past 25 year, the company has sold more than 100,000 trailers and is well regarded as a brand name. The 20 year old company FLOE International is popular for its enclosed snowmobile trailer, amongst other steel and aluminum trailers. Haulmark is another noted manufacturer of fully covered trailers that has been operating successfully for over 25 years.

Pace American has shown true dedication to the relatively small enclosed snowmobile trailer market, offering several new lines of these products with a reputed high quality. Worthington Trailer Company manufactures aluminum trailers from their plant located in Montoursville, Pennsylvania. Started in 1986 in Hartford, Wisconsin, Karavan expanded quickly to be amongst the more popular recreational trailer fabricators, bringing worldwide success to owners Mike and Scott Boyd. Load Rite Trailers has been in the enclosed snowmobile trailer business since 1981. Triton offers three lines of snowmobile trailers packed with useful features, 19 years after it first set up shop.
